Staff evacuated from Kmart fire

Kmart staff at the Bunbury Parks Centre were evacuated yesterday morning after a light fitting caught fire.

The fire started at about 8am, before the store was open.

Fire from the light fitting spread to clothes in the store.

The store manager was using a fire extinguisher on the fire when firefighters arrived.

Fire crews finished putting out the fire.

The fire caused about $2000 damage.
