Long-time fans of visionary duo Empire of the Sun are set to be Walking On A Dream following news the pair will return to Perth on their upcoming Aussie tour.

Comprising WA-raised Luke Steele and Sydney collaborator Nick Littlemore, the group’s 2008 mega-hit and first album went as global as the State’s tourism campaign it inspired.

More than seven billion streams later, Empire Of The Sun has continued to make sonic waves globally through mesmerising live shows and ethereal anthems.

“Australia we’re coming home. Empire cannot wait to see you all,” Steele said.

“Get ready, this is gonna be a wild ride as we embark on a journey unlike any other Empire has been on. New record, new show, new era, let’s go!”

Their first album in eight years — titled Ask That God — is set for July 26 release while their tour of the same name will follow in October and November.

Playing host to the likes of Fat Boy Slim, Post Malone and Flume, Perth’s open-aired Red Hill Auditorium will be transformed into a kaleidoscope of colours and sounds on November 1 as the duo perform hypnotic new tracks Changes and Music On The Radio.

Pioneers of electro-pop, Littlemore forms one third of dance music trio PNAU while Steele’s 2022 solo album Listen to the Water is an acoustic escape from the genre altogether.

The West Coast will be Empire of the Sun’s fourth and final stop on their national tour following singular shows in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane.

Pre-sale tickets for the November 1 Perth show will be available on May 28 for Frontier members via frontiertouring.com/empireofthesun

General ticketing will go on sale Thursday May 30 through Moshtix.
