From singing opera to watching a pillow fight, there’s something for everyone these school holidays.

Grab your pillows, it’s a pillow fight!

So, who broke Great Grandma’s biscuit barrel? Warring siblings Shane and Nadia enlist their favourite toys in a hilarious pillow fight for the truth. Join Spare Parts Puppet Theatre during the January school holidays for Pillow Fight, a raucous and pillow flying comedy. You can also visit the Creative Learning Pavilion and explore the pillow fort!

Sing your heart out!

The West Australian Opera is running a series of free workshops designed for young people aged 10 to 24 during the school holidays. Learn all about voice experimentation, stage makeup, storytelling, making props and of course, singing. Theatre professionals will be running the sessions in Gosnells and Cockburn.

I do like to be beside the seaside

I do like to be beside the sea, especially when the Markets by the Sea are on! Returning with two massive events in December, the Markets by the Sea will have over 90 artists, creators, designers, growers and more than ten food trucks at the Northshore Community Hub in Kallaroo. For the very first time, a night market will give Perth shoppers the opportunity for endless shopping with local small businesses.

A Merry Mandurah Christmas

Mandurah is set to sparkle this festive season with a huge range of free celebrations suitable for all ages. The City of Mandurah Christmas Lights Trail will light up the night with over 30 installations along the trail until Sunday January 7, 2024. You can also welcome in 2024 with the City of Mandurah New Year’s Eve fireworks on December 31. There will be two firework displays, one at 9pm and another at midnight.

Spend Summer with the ABC

There is something special for all Aussie kids on the ABC these school holidays. There are new shows, Christmas specials, boredom buster activities and treats to keep you entertained on those long road trips. The new series Planet Lulin will be launched on ABC Me and ABC iview for the new year. Lulin is a 12-year-old who just wants to win the school science competition, but problems arise as she learns how to blast energy waves from her fingers!
