Baby fights for life, five others injured after horror crash in Melbourne
A baby is fighting for life while a toddler and 10-year-old were injured in a horror collision in Melbourne’s west.
A Honda Accord and a grey Nissan Qashqai collided head-on about 12.20am at Station Rd near Tulloch St in Deer Park about 12.20am on Friday.
A one-year-old baby girl inside the Nissan suffered life-threatening injuries in the crash, while a 20-month old girl and 10-year-old girl suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
All three adults in the same car as the children – a 22-year-old woman, 25-year-old woman and 27-year-old man – suffered minor injuries, with all six adults and children taken to hospital.
The 22-year-old driver of the Honda was uninjured and arrested at the scene.
The Niddrie man has been charged with dangerous driving causing serious injury and negligently cause serious injury.
He’s set to front the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on Friday afternoon.
Police have urged anyone with information to come forward.
