Busselton delivered a bruising 95-point loss to the Eaton women’s side on Sunday, leaving their opponents completely scoreless during the game.

Despite the home-ground advantage at Glen Huon Reserve, the weak Boomers were unable to make headway against the dominant Magpies, who won the match 13.17 (95) to 0.0 (0).

It was clear the home team were in trouble early in the game, with the visitors up by 23 points by the end of the first quarter.

Things only got worse for the Boomers from there, with a 42-point gap at half-time.

The third quarter saw Busselton double their total goals from five to 10, kicking another three before the final siren.

Kate Fielding was the leading goal scorer for the winning team, kicking four majors during the match.

Teammates Rennie Meadmore and Katie-Jayne Grieve scored three and two goals respectively.

Busselton’s result came despite major goal kicking inaccuracies, with 17 behinds during the match.

Players in Donnybrook’s SWFL women’s team scored a free win and an extra week of rest after Collie forfeited the game the two teams were set to play at Boyanup on Saturday.

It comes after the Eagles’ club committee voted on Wednesday night to sack coach Matt Steven, effective immediately.
