Emergency services have responded to a fire inside a building housing two radio stations in the Bunbury CBD.

The Department of Fire and Emergency Services said the fire began on the corner of Spencer and Stirling streets on Monday afternoon, with four fire units being immediately sent out to the scene.

A triple zero call was received about 3.10pm with reports of smoke coming out of the back of the building.

As the Herald went to print on Monday afternoon, the blaze was contained and controlled, with the building being fully evacuated. Seven firefighting units were on scene.

It is understood the fire began in an alleyway between the building and the neighbouring Young & Young Lawyers office.
