A man and a woman in their 60s have been injured in a quad bike crash near Augusta.

The RAC Rescue helicopter has been sent to the scene, which is in difficult terrain in the Leeuwin-Naturaliste National Park.

Emergency services rushed to the accident site in the remote national park near Hillview Road in Leeuwin — about three hours south of Perth — after the alarm was raised at 10.55am on Sunday.

The pair’s injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

Volunteers from Augusta’s Volunteer Fire and Rescue Service and two St John WA crews were on site awaiting the arrival of the helicopter to take them to hospital.
