Annual survey reveals overall satisfaction rate of 94 per cent with Geraldton’s Queen Elizabeth II Centre

The city’s Queen Elizabeth II Seniors and Community Centre has received an overwhelming tick of approval, with a user survey revealing an overall satisfaction rate of 94 per cent. The annual survey of attendees delivered extremely positive feedback about the centre’s programs, facilities and amenities. Of those canvassed, 96 per cent said they were likely or very likely to recommend the centre’s services and programs to other seniors, while 95 per cent said they were satisfied or very satisfied with their experience. City of Greater Geraldton mayor Jerry Clune was thrilled with the results surrounding such an important community asset. “The QEII Centre is such an integral part of the community, and we want to be sure its meeting the needs of our older residents,” he said. “It is fantastic to see satisfaction with the centre is at a whopping 94 per cent and also interesting to see that 73 per cent of the 158 surveys completed were submitted online as opposed to only 22 per cent the previous year.” Mr Clune congratulated the centre’s staff and volunteers for their hard work and dedication. The annual survey takes the pulse of community sentiment when it comes to the centre and was open to feedback for three months. Physical activity continues to rank highly for program needs, with the most popular activities being balance gym, over-50s gentle gym and pilates for the second consecutive year. The centre’s newsletter was also praised, while the over-50s Facebook page had a 10 per cent increase in usage. Activities at the centre are partially funded by the Department of Communities.
