The communities of Harvey and Waroona came together last Sunday to welcome new citizens and award community champions at their respective Australia Day 2025 celebrations.
Both shires celebrated the day as hundreds gathered in Harvey’s Community Resource Centre and outside the Waroona Town Hall.
Community champions from both shires were recognised for their ongoing volunteering and commitment to the region, migrants became citizens, and everyone looked back on the past before looking forward to a shared continued history.
