Goldfields Football League co-captain Jordan Delbridge added to a glowing resume by last weekend earning the Gallagher Medal as the team’s best player at the annual Nutrien Ag Solutions Country Football Championships in Perth.

Delbridge was a standout performer in each of the GFL’s four games in division one, underpinned by two wins.

Two years ago, Delbridge was the only player from a winless GFL division one group who earned Allstars selection after the championships.

But despite his strong 2024 carnival, he was this year overlooked for Allstars honours, which went to teammates Jake Nuich and Brett Blair.

Nuich, who was the GFL’s co-captain, and Blair were among 22 players who earned Allstars selection.

Four players each from division one champions South West and runners-up Avon made the team, alongside three from Peel.

The GFL and Great Northern each had two representatives, with South West’s Seth White getting the nod as Allstars coach.
