Boulder’s aggressive recruiting following a disappointing flag defence this year in the Goldfields Football League has snared the club midfielder Koopah Todd from West Perth.

A product of Wanneroo’s junior program, Todd racked up a combined 69 games in West Perth’s colts and reserves teams before adding 30 at senior level.

Boulder officials this week announced the signing on social media with big hopes.

“Koopah will be a massive boost to our midfield with his ability to play both inside and outside-mid roles,” the club said.

“With nine years WAFL experience under his belt, we are really excited to see him bring his professionalism and pass his knowledge on to our younger players.”

After they in 2024 finished third and bowed out of the flag race with a loss against Kalgoorlie in the first semifinal, Boulder have easily been the most proactive of the five senior clubs in topping-up their list for next year.

Todd’s signing follows those of Victorians Dustin Walters, Zak Barrett, Guy Laughlin and Tate Nicholas, who last season played in Port Hedland.
