Following the death of Queen Elizabeth II on September 8, 2022, her firstborn son acceded the British throne to become King Charles III.

At 73, he was the oldest person to do so, after having been the longest-serving heir apparent and Prince of Wales in British history.

Now, after eight months of carrying out royal duties, both the King and Queen Camilla will be officially crowned at Westminster Abbey in London with about 2000 guests watching on.
