A royal insider has spoken of Princess Kate’s “struggle” during her ongoing cancer battle, but said Kate is ”coming back” when she gets sign-off from her medical team.

Katie Nicholl, a royal correspondent for Vanity Fair, has revealed the devastating struggles of Kate’s health battles, especially in the early stages.

“I’ve been told by sources very close to the Princess of Wales that she had struggled with the treatment initially,” she told The Sun.

“It’s preventive chemotherapy, it’s not a pleasant thing.

“No one wants to have to have this, you know, off the back of major surgery, a pretty long recovery period, and then she has to go through the treatment.

“I think it was a struggle initially and I was very, very relieved to hear from actually more than one source that she has recently turned a corner.”

The insider hit back at rumours that the Princess of Wales may never return to public duties, saying she was “100 per cent” coming back.

“Everything I hear is that she will be back to work,” she said.

“She’s coming back 100 per cent to pick up as Princess of Wales and do the great work she was doing before.

“It will just be in her time and she’s ready and crucially when she gets the sign-off from her medical team.”

The interview adds to swirling speculation that we may see Kate make a triumphant return to public appearances as early as Saturday.

Trooping the Colours, also known as The King’s Birthday Parade will take place on Saturday.

The age-old tradition, a gift from the British Army to His Majesty for the monarch’s official birthday is a major fixture in the royal calendar.

While her absence from the rehearsal was flagged, palace officials have neither confirmed nor denied her potential balcony appearance on June 15.

Rhea Freeman, a renowned UK PR expert, told GB News, an appearance would be a huge win for the Palace.

“If Kate were to appear on the balcony it would definitely dominate the news,” she told the outlet.

“But from everything I’ve read and seen, I would imagine that the King would be delighted to have her there.

“It would reinforce the strength of the monarchy moving forward, something that has been questioned by some with both the King and Kate’s recent health concerns.”
