The Royal Family has shared a sweet message to King Charles on his birthday.

The Palace posted a picture of the King looking dapper in a blue suit to celebrate his 76th year.

“Wishing His Majesty The King a very Happy Birthday today,” the post read.

The Instagram post received nearly 10,000 likes in 9 minutes and more than 258 comments.

The monarch looked healthy and in good spirits despite his tough cancer battle.

Earlier in the year, King Charles was diagnosed with a form of cancer following a procedure for benign prostate enlargement.

He briefly stepped away from public engagements as he underwent treatment.

He quickly returned to work and on Wednesday he met the star-studded cast of the Gladiator II movie at the world premiere in London.

He arrived in his state Bentley limousine before greeting Paul Mescal, Pedro Pascal, Denzel Washington and director Sir Ridley Scott.

However, Queen Camilla was forced to miss the event as she fights her own health battles.

The 77-year-old was recently diagnosed with a “seasonal chest infection” and told the director she would be “coughing throughout” the movie.
