The legendary Angels are one of Australia’s greatest and most enduring rock bands.

The rock ‘n’ roll heavyweights will hit the road in 2014, to showcase their new album Talk the Talk and founding member John Brewster said the band couldn’t wait to share all their hits.

“We look forward to playing – theband is experiencing a resurgence with Dave (Gleeson, formally of the Screaming Jets) singing and our incredible drummer Nick (Norton),” he said.

“The band is just rocking.

“We have the new album out, Talk the Talk, it’s our second album with Dave and Nick and I think the Angels 18th. We loved the whole experience.

“Talk the Talk is a great live number, if I may say so myself, and the crowds have responded well.”

The Adelaide rock band formed in 1974 and over the years has had a flurry of members, including legendary vocalist Doc Neeson and bassist Chris Bailey who tragically died on the eve of their last Bunbury visit, early this year.

The band consists of founders Rick Brewster, John Brewster, recruit Dave Gleeson, Nick Norton and touring member Sam Brewster.

When they visit Bunbury as part of the Bayside Beats festival next year, the band will be in their 40th year and Brewster said they had never been happier.

“It’s important to us as a band to move on – when we play in Bunbury Dave and Nick would have been with us for three years, we’re moving forward and they bring in a wonderful energy,” he said.

“It’s pretty incredible when you stop and think about a band that started in 1974 still pulling great crowds.

“But there is no reason why you can’t keep doing something you’re great at.

“It’s the happiest the band has been. Each member just has respect and we get on with what we have to do.”

Bunbury should get ready for an Aussie rock invasion when The Angels play with Diesel and Mi-Sex at Bayside Beats on March 14.

Brewster said fans could expect to hear their classic hits. Tickets go on sale Monday.

“We will play the old favourites Marseilles, Take a Long Line, Mr Damage, Let The Night Roll On, Waiting For The Sun and Am I Ever Gonna See Your Face Again,” he said.

“Were lucky as a band to have built up a strong repertoire and we love playing the regional areas just as much as the city. When we play it’s a mutual celebration between the band and the Legendary rockers, The Angels, will play along side Diesel and Mi-Sex in Bunbury next year. crowd. It’s powerful stuff.”
