The Bunbury and Districts Cricket Association suffered two losses today to be knocked out of the Statewide T20 Tournament.

The Recreation Ground was a hive of energy as the BDCA, Subiaco-Floreat Cricket Club and Willetton Cricket Club played two games each in the group stages of the tournament.

The BDCA started with a game against Subiaco-Floreat and batted poorly to lose by nine wickets.

Batting first the BDCA posted just 5/103 from their 20 overs, with just veteran batsman Murray Goodwin (32 off 27) getting going.

Marist paceman Chris Laker got the only wicket as the Lions won comfortably, chasing the total in just 11.2 overs.

But Subiaco-Floreat could not back it up with a win against Willetton, with Dragons' captain Matthew Johnston hitting a six off the last ball of the game to give Willetton the win.

Chasing 140 for victory, the game went down to the wire before Johnston (77 from 47) won the game for the Dragons.

In the final game of the day the BDCA put up a top performance, only to fall short in the last over of the day.

Veteran Chris Waddingham and Leschenault offspinner Matt Hammond were pivotal with the ball as Willetton crumbled to just 9/120 off their 20 overs.

Goodwin then set out chasing the total with an amazing innings of 68 from 45.

But when Goodwin fell in the 18th over the game slipped away and the BDCA fell to a two run loss.
