Beating the heat in Bunbury

The installation of Bunbury’s first floating swimming pontoon was completed on Tuesday.

Located at the boating prohibited area of Koombana Bay Beach, the swimming pontoon features non-slip UV resistant decking, two ladders, and low-maintenance lightweight fabrication.

Bunbury Mayor Gary Brennan said the pontoon was a fantastic addition for families and individuals who enjoyed Bunbury’s beaches.

“We have an enviable beach location here in Bunbury and this will add to the diversity of our beach activities for residents and visitors, ” he said.

The pontoon will be removed and stored during winter.
