A 17-year-old boy was robbed and assaulted by a group of men riding bicycles in Withers on Friday night.

The incident occurred about 11.30pm as the boy was walking along Parade Road, near the intersection of Knight Street.

He was approached by the group and pushed to the ground and assaulted before they stole his mobile phone and money.

The boy suffered minor injuries.

Police this morning said the men were described as being dark-skinned and want to speak to anyone in the area at the time of the incident.
