Bunbury BMX star Lauren Reynolds was today named to compete in her second Olympic Games.

Reynolds will head to Rio de Janeiro for the August games, having been announced as one of the five BMX riders from Australia chosen to compete.

Reynolds made it to the semi-finals in London in 2012, but has returned from a knee injury strong and is looking at claiming a medal.

“It’s an absolute honour to be selected for the second time to represent my country in Rio,” she said.

“All the blood, sweat and tears from the past four years have certainly paid off.

“I have an opportunity to do everything I can to be better than I was in London and do myself and my country proud.”
