The organisers of the Boyup Brook Country Music Festival are encouraging artists to nominate for a major awards night as part of the event.

Next year’s festival is the 32nd annual event and will take place from February 16-19 with a host of quality acts to be announced.

The WA Country Music Awards are run as part of the festival each year when the South West town comes alive with the sounds of music.

Every skill level has a category to enter with the array of categories including group, male artist, female artist, independent single, independent EP, independent album, video clip, open songwriter, emerging artist and junior vocalist of the year.

Entries close on September 30 with the finalists to be announced at the end of December ahead of the awards on February 17.

Previous winners from the South West have included including Codee-Lee, Tori-Rae Davies, Tracey Barnett, Jodie Boni, Kate Hindle and Jonny Taylor.

Expressions of interest to perform at the festival are open but will close on June 30 with organisers then facing the difficult decision of who to select from hundreds of applications.
