Actor and comedian Sean Walsh is returning to his former homeas part of the Big HOO-HAA! improvised comedy tour.

Walsh spent a number of years in Bunbury as a child, a place where he said his love for acting began.

‘‘I got my first taste of acting when I wasliving in Bunbury during primary school,’’ he said.

‘‘I remember playing Mr Bumble in Oliver Twist when I was about seven and I just loved it.’’

He then returned to Bunbury as an adult where he got his first job out of high school as a copywriter.

Walsh has done all there is to do in performing arts during his 10 years in the industry, from voice-overs and radio announcing to actingand directing.

‘‘Someone asked me to be in a play one day when I was living in Karratha and working as a radio announcer and I just got bittenbythe actingbugreally,’’ Walshsaid.

‘‘I decided to come back to Perth and give it a crack and here I am today.

‘‘It was funny how life does that to you, you’re at a certain place at a certain time and get offered something completely random and it all jus thappens from there.’’

Off the stage, Walsh considers himself a funny man but said his wife doesn’t agree.

‘‘Some people say I’m a funny guy off stage but try telling my wife that,’’ he said.

‘‘People say to my wife that I must be so much fun at home and she just rolls her eyes.’’

Walsh is touring regional WA as part of the Big HOO-HAA! tour that stops by Bunbury for two shows at Bunbury Regional Entertainment Centre on April 4, a destination he is looking forward to re-visiting.

‘‘I do like coming back to Bunbury and having a look around and driving past the houses I used to live in,’’ Walsh said.

‘‘I’ve got some fond memories from my time in Bunbury and it certainly has a place in my heart.’’

The Big HOO-HAA!, directed by Sam Longley, is an improvised comedy similar to hit American TV show Whose Line Is It Anyway.
