Bunbury council meetings to be streamed

South Western Times

People interested in the goings on of the Bunbury City Council will be able to tune in from their homes when the council begins live-streaming public meetings on the internet.

The council this week ruled it would broadcast its public meetings over the web after the council chambers were last year fitted with audio visual equipment.

Bunbury will join the cities of Joondalup and Greater Geraldton — the only other WA local governments to broadcast meetings.

The council noted live-streaming meetings would help promote its decisions and its activities.

The council is yet to determine where on the internet the meetings will be streamed and how interested people will be able to access them.
