A lucky Bunbury resident won one of three division-two Powerball prizes last night - snaring $74,708.

The winning ticket was sold at Nextra Bunbury on Victoria Street and is the first major division two Powerball ticket the outlet has sold.

Nextra Bunbury owner Belinda Jefferies said it was a great occasion to have sold one of the division-two winning tickets.

"I am extremely excited, especially because a regular customer was the person who claimed it," she said.

"It is amazing that out of all of the tickets sold last night we had one of the three division two winners."

Ms Jefferies hopes it is the first of many big Lotto wins.

"Hopefully this gets the word out that we are here at the end of Victoria Street," she said.

"Fingers crossed we have more success and sell the winning ticket in next week's $21 million Super Draw."

The division one prize of $50 million was sold in Perth.
