The redevelopment of Kelly Park and tackling unemployment are just two of the issues which will be raised by Bunbury residents at tonight’s annual electors’ meeting.

People will have the opportunity to raise topics of interest with the Bunbury City Council at the meeting at council chambers at 7pm.

Some residents have lodged questions in advance on topics such as the Preston to Ocean Regional Park and the council’s spending and projects.

The Carey Park Football Club will be pushing for information on the redevelopment of Kelly Park.

Bunbury Mayor David Smith encouraged people to take part.

“Each year attendees speak on issues, ask specific questions and even move and vote on motions,” Mr Smith said.

“It is a valuable opportunity for local residents and ratepayers to influence what the Bunbury City Council does and to hold us accountable.”

Any decisions at the meeting will be referred to the next council meeting for consideration.

The council’s 2011-2012 annual report and the Mayor’s report will be presented.

The Mayor will also respond to any verbal questions from electors concerning matters under the jurisdiction of the council.

Last year’s meeting attracted 12 residents.
