The organisers of the Bunbury Show are ecstatic that thousands of people flocked to the event on Saturday and Sunday.

Show coordinator Rosina Mogg estimated a record crowd of about 18,000 people during the two-day event at Hay Park.

There was a little rain but most of the event was held under bright skies.

Mrs Mogg credited the turnout to providing "something for everyone" - including horses, country music, animal rides and stalls from businesses and community groups.

"It was fantastic," she said. "It is such a community event."

On Saturday, the highlight event was an Anzac parade, which involved the 10th Light Horse Troop led by their president Harry Ball.

The members of the troop marched to commemorate the 100th anniversary of Anzac Day and pay tribute to the unit's first Regimental Sergeant Major, Bunbury resident James William Everington.

His great-granddaughter, Marilla Pierson, was at the parade to accept a salute from the marchers.

Other highlights of the show included horse show jumping and mounted games, as well as appearances from ABC gardening guru Sabrina Hahn and the Bad Piper.

Lovers of country music were also given a treat with performances from the Sunny Cow Girls and bush poets including Adrian Egan.

The event was capped off with the traditional fireworks display on Saturday night.
