Bunbury to get rooftop bar

LINCOLN BERTELLISouth Western Times

Bunbury is set to gain its first rooftop bar next summer with demolition work starting this week on a former carpark site at Casuarina Drive.

Planning approval has been granted for a two-storey bar with an open-plan rooftop beer garden with water views and downstairs bar and kitchen.

It will be the corner and showpiece tenant of a six-site $1.6 million development and is expected to be open by December.

Project director and part-owner Adam Comito said he had received only positive feedback about his plan for the site on the corner of Casuarina Drive and Carey Street and had “no doubt” a tenant would be found to run the bar.
