Capel declares no-dog zones

Prohibited dog areas in the Shire of Capel were announced yesterday and include any building under control or management by the council.

Chief executive officer Paul Sheedy said dogs were prohibited from November 1 to April 30 at foreshore areas, including Dalyellup Beach from Norton Promenade to Dalyellup Boulevard and Minninup Beach from Rich Road.

Peppermint Grove Beach from Wave Walk to Peppermint Grove Road and Forrest Beach from the northern edge of the gravel carpark at Forrest Beach Road for 300 metres is also out of bounds for dogs.

The council wants feedback on the plan.
