A Bunbury production group is calling on all drama kings and queens to be part of an upcoming show.

The Bunbury Musical Comedy Group is seeking enthusiastic high school students with a knack for performance to audition for a role in its production of The Railway Children.

Director Maureen Eaton said the production would bring some unique elements to the stage, including a real, purpose-built train.

She said the show would be staged in March 2017 at the New Lyric Theatre and auditions would be carried out on October 29 and 30.

“Students interested in stage management, lighting and sound are also welcome,” she said.

“A cast of young people from 10 to 16 is required, plus adults.”

Professional designer Jake Newby will also be on board to help teach successful applicants about the show’s lighting design and special effects.
