Organisers of a national behaviour change initiative are asking Bunbury residents to swap the car for a bike and ride to work tomorrow.

The Bicycle Network hails its Ride2Work Day as the biggest behavioural change program of its kind with more than 68,000 registered for the annual initiative.

Behaviour change general manager Tess Allaway said encouraging more people to ride to work tackled traffic congestion along with health issues.

“Riding a bike to and from work is one of the best ways to get fit and active, reduce stress, beat the traffic, save money and even have a bit of fun along the way,” Ms Allaway said.
