Coach relishes massive occasion
Augusta-Margaret River coach Matthew Jamieson had a broad smile of satisfaction on his face after Sunday’s 60-point victory against Bunbury at Payne Park, which earned them a home final.
But Jamieson, regarded by many SWFL experts as one of the brightest minds in the game, wasn’t getting ahead of himself.
“We focused on mindset along with things we needed to change around the contest, along with our ball movement,” he said.
“And I think to have a really successful week on the track, along with the boys understanding these things, really gave us confidence.
“Confidence to know that although we have lost a couple of games, we’ve been in the top three for most of the year.”
