Council recognises heritage projects in awards

Preservation of Bunbury's war memorial and two East Bunbury houses are among the projects recognised with Bunbury City Council heritage awards.

An award for excellence in heritage building design and conservation work was given to Clinton Long Project Management and Annabel Wills Architecture for the war memorial's restoration before last year's Anzac Day centenary.

Peter Drosdowsky also received an award in the same category for preserving and restoring two homes in Ednie Street.

Bunbury RSL received a certificate of merit in the outstanding heritage promotion category for its work on the war memorial.

Awards also went to Megan Lawless for the Memories of Bunbury Facebook page and Stephen Craddock for work with the Bunbury Museum and Heritage Centre.
