UPDATE: Donnybrook, Brunswick and Boyanup are in the top 10 WA areas that still have hundreds of properties without power.

There are 1445 properties in Donnybrook, 575 in Brunswick and 426 in Boyanup.

In total Western Power crews have successfully reconnected more than 150,000 customers in the past 36 hours.

They will continue to work throughout the day to try to restore power to the affected areas.

Tonight’s storm is expected to hit the Bunbury coast about 4pm and peak at 9.30pm.

The Bureau of Meteorology climate and weather information officer John Relf urged people to ``batten down the hatches.’’

``Everyone needs to beware and take care,’’ he said.

``It’s going to get pretty gusty.’’

There is currently a gale warning, storm warning, strong wind warning and severe weather warning in place for the South West region.

The City of Bunbury will continue to clean up debris, secure buildings and keep roads clear for emergency services.

A spokeswoman said they will also continue to work with FESA to minimise damage to the area and respond to calls for assistance.

`` The City of Bunbury is warning all residents to stay home or indoors, clear and secure any loose material that could become airborne and do not put any waste on the verge,’’ she said.

For emergency assistance call FESA on 132 500.
