Crews work to restore SW power

CLARE NEGUSSouth Western Times

Western Power crews are working to restore power to about 1600 people in Bunbury and a further 4000 across the South West following storms overnight and this morning.

Strong winds have flung trees, branches and other debris into powerlines.

The small town of Kalgarin appears to have suffered the most extensive damage.

If anyone sees fallen powerlines, Western Power says to steer clear and call 13 13 51.

If power lines fall across your car, stay inside the car until help arrives.
