USMAN AZADSouth Western Times

Police say the death of an Australind man in Eaton last week was not suspicious.

Wilbur James Marsh, 51, died while walking with another man on Recreation Drive on July 12.

Police and ambulance officers were called to the scene at 10pm and remained at the site until Sunday morning.

South West Detectives at first treated the death as suspicious but further investigations, including an autopsy, found this was not the case.

“A full post mortem has found there was no criminality,” South West acting officer in charge Det-Sen. Sgt Dayle Hamilton said.

“The death is no longer treated as a suspected homicide.”
