Star performances from James Hawksley and Kristin Thornton helped Harvey-Brunswick-Leschenault defeat a resilient Busselton by 27 points at Brunswick Oval this afternoon.

After the Magpies jumped out of the blocks to lead at quarter time, a wasteful Lions outfit slowly took control and broke the game open in the latter stages of the third quarter to run out 11.12 (78) to 7.9 (51) winners.

Last night, South Bunbury handed Carey Park a comprehensive defeat, when they ran out 107 point winners at Hands Oval.

The Tigers kicked 14 goals to just three after half-time to claim the 22.10 (142) to 5.5 (35) win.

A six goal to one first half catapulted the Collie Eagles to a 59-point victory over the Harvey Bulls at the Collie Recreation Ground this on Saturday.

The Bulls were goalless until the last minutes of the second quarter, as a dominant Eagles outfit showed plenty of run and carry on their way to a 14.11 (95) to 5.6 (36) win.

Inaccurate kicking cost Donnybrook victory against Augusta-Margaret River, when the Dons kicked just six goals from 21 scoring shots in a four-point loss at Gloucester Park yesterday.

Hawks youngster Mitch Lynn booted three goals and was prolific around the ground as the home side escaped with a narrow 8.7 (55) to 6.15 (51) win.
