Eaton Toy Library is heaps of fun
The Eaton Toy Library has been keeping young imaginations and bodies busy for more than 20 years by lending a range of quality toys.
The long-running family resource, housed at the Eaton Family Centre on Charterhouse Street, is seeking new members.
Committee president Kirsty Shooter said the library hadmore than 400 toys ranging from puzzles and baby activity tables to ride-on cars.
‘‘The beauty of it is you don’t have to spend money on toys — you can borrow them and when the kids get sick of them you can bring them back,’’ Mrs Shooter said.
The library is one of few remaining in the region after Bunbury’s Milligan Community Learning and Resource Centre toy library closed late last year.
The library, for children aged six and under, is run entirely by volunteers and membership costs $55 a year.
Mrs Shooter said the library was not just for Eaton residents.
‘‘We are based in Eaton but we are open to people everywhere in the Greater Bunbury region,’’ Mrs Shooter said.
The library operates every Saturday from 9am to 10am and every second Tuesday from 7pm to 8pm.
Those interested in joining the library can contact themembership officer, Ellen Barbetti, on 0422 545 690.
