Information about autism services and organisations was abundant at Bunbury's first Regional Autism Intervention Network Expo on Tuesday.

More than 270 people attended the expo which hosted 25 different stalls offering a wide variety of services including therapy groups, support organisations, advocacy services and businesses that cater to specific needs.

RAIN founders Liz Martin and Gemma Foxall organised the event to strengthen the network for families affected by autism in Bunbury.

"We wanted to raise awareness for what services are available," Ms Martin said.

"It's great just to have everything all under the same roof."

Ms Martin said the expo was so popular they ended up with a waiting list for stall holders.

"We've had amazing support from all services providers and businesses," she said.

Ms Martin has two sons with autism and said the growing support network had given her family hope and developing the business changed her life.

RAIN co-founder Gemma Foxall said the need for autism support groups in Bunbury was huge.

"The community needs to unite to support each other, particularly those who are most vulnerable," she said.

The introduction of new support groups and service providers in Bunbury were welcome changes for the mothers who said they wanted to help point families in the right direction.

"Sometimes families need help finding the right services that suit their personal needs," Ms Foxall said.

Among the organisations that held a stall on Tuesday were Out Loud, Telethon Kids, Therapy Focus and the South West Autism Network.
