FAIM hits The Prince

There were probably only two people in the whole State who didn’t go to the eagerly anticipated Soundwave Festival on Monday.

One was lead singer and generally loud, crazy-type front man of Perth band FAIM, Noah Skape.

“Unfortunately, circumstances didn’t permit,” Skape said.

“I’m just hanging out at home.”

Home being a share house in Perth, which he shares with fellow musician Pat Decline, and here’s the hot tip on sharing a space with Skape — keep a lock on your door.

The flamboyant rocker admits to having issues with boundaries, having recently used one of Decline’s CDs for a completely silly, yet thoroughly entertaining, homemade video used to promote the release of FAIM’s own CD, their debut called Pretty Well over the Bay.

“We snuck into Pat’s room and took one of his CDs to use in the movie and pretty much destroyed it in the process,” admitted Skape.

You can find the video on YouTube and witness for yourself the hilarious blooper footage, microwave mishaps, reversing #101 and medieval weaponry, all of which contributed to the doomed CD’s demise.

Not that there’s anything wrong with The Decline, but where’s the sense in wrecking your own CD?

“Pat wasn’t very impressed,” Skape admitted.

Pretty Well over the Bay was released with some success last weekend at The Rosemount Hotel in Perth, but you can check it out for yourself this weekend when FAIM hit the Prince of Wales Hotel in Bunbury for the Attack of the 50ft Woman.

Celebrating punk rock and chicks that shred on International Women’s Day, FAIM will share the stage with Kettle Fingers, The Shakeys and Axe Girl.

Skape is quietly confident it will be a good night.

“We are pretty excited to play with those bands,” Skape said.

“It’s going to be great.
