A full schedule of family activities, entertainment and arts has been promised for this year’s annual LiveLighter Dardanup Bull and Barrel Festival.

Kicking off at 10am on October 8, the festival will have something for everyone with the theme Firing Your Imagination inspiring a host of new and exciting activities.

Festival committee chairwoman Jill Cross said the focus for this year was on the arts and showcasing the best of what Dardanup had to offer.

“Every year it gets bigger and better,” Mrs Cross said.

There will be two big stages hosting singing and dancing performances and more than 150 market and food stalls.

This year a dedicated youth zone will offer an exciting free run display, plus sumo wrestling, Zorb balls and a photo booth.

Kids can have a go at cooking at the kids in the kitchen marquee, play with circus equipment, pat farm animals and even enjoy a camel ride, horse ride or a horse and cart ride.

More than 100 Harley-Davidsons will be passing through as part of the Military Brotherhood Motorcycle Club charity ride and fashion parades, a wearable ag art competition and an art exhibition will be on display.

Mrs Cross said the day would be action-packed with activities for all ages so everyone could have a go at music, craft, art and dancing or sit back and enjoy the activities.

In traditional fashion the lighting of the festival-themed fire sculpture is set to mark the end of the festival.
