Film prize opens for entries

Entries are open for the prestigious CinefestOZ Film Prize, which will be awarded during the festival in August.

Submissions for the $100,000 film prize close on June 3 and the shortlisted films will premiere at the CinefestOZ Film Festival from August 24-28.

The inaugural winner of the prize was director Robert Connolly's Paper Planes in 2014 while Putuparri and the Rainmakers claimed the prize last year.

The film prize is supported by the State Government through Tourism WA's regional events program, which is funded by Royalties for Regions.
