Firefighters have been called to Eaton Fair this morning after a person was overcome by fumes when opening a box.

Department of Fire and Emergency Services have confirmed the incident, but have since given the area the all clear.

Bunbury district officer Peter Stewart said a worker was opening a box on the Kmart loading dock before they were hit by the fumes.

It is believed the box was full of wooden items which had recently been varnished.

Mr Stewart said no further action had to be taken by firefighters and the area was given the all clear.
