A controversial film about the fracking industry will be screened in Bunbury this week.

Frackman The Movie, which has had sell-out screenings in the Eastern States, tells the story of an accidental activist battling the contentious gas extraction industry.

The filmmakers will hold a question and answer session as part of the screening and hope the tour will start a Statewide conversation about the risks of fracking.

The film will be screened at Grand Cinemas at 3.30pm on Saturday, May 23.
