Freeway detours over weekends

South West drivers heading to Perth over the next three weekends will need to factor in major freeway works.

Kwinana Freeway will be closed at Russell Road in one direction from 9pm Saturdays until 4am Mondays, starting with the northbound lanes this weekend.

The work involves the construction of the Aubin Grove train station.

Traffic will be detoured around the site via the freeway’s off-ramps during the work.

Main Roads suggests either avoiding the area or allowing extra time.
