Furry friends visit ahead of Telethon
Fat Cat and Dooper the Dog paid a visit to Bunbury Centrepoint Shopping Centre on Saturday to get families excited ahead of this weekend’s Telethon.
The city will be filled with activities on Saturday and Sunday to raise money for the research foundation.
This is the first time Bunbury Centrepoint Shopping Centre has held fundraising events for the charity, which has raised more than $204 million since 1968.
Marketing manager Diana Ashworth said Fat Cat did not make the trip down from Perth very often, so it was a nice surprise for the children.
“The kids were super excited to see Fat Cat and it was a good way to rally some support for the weekend,” she said.
“There was some face painting and Fat Cat and Dooper the Dog walked around for a couple of hours, which the kids loved.”
See Thursday’s South Western Times for a full run down of events and activities this weekend.
