Gala finale for Eisteddfod

A celebration of South West musical talent will reach a climax on Saturday night with a gala concert to be held at the Bunbury Regional Entertainment Centre.

The 58th annual WA Performing Arts Eisteddfod has been showcasing the best of the region’s young dancers and musicians for the past five weeks.

More than 2000 performers have taken part in percussion, piano, vocal, strings, guitar and dance sessions with family, friends and community members in attendance.

The event’s daily performances came to a close yesterday but Saturday’s concert is set to highlight the talented performers one last time.

WA Performing Arts Eisteddfod president Myra Easton said the gala concert would be a fitting end to the event with a number of performers showing off their talents.

“It won’t necessarily showcase the people who won but the performers who were entertaining during the season,” she said.
