Bunbury residents are encouraged to put their green thumbs to work and help a community garden reach its full potential.

The Community Garden in Withers has blossomed since February 2014 and now the Bunbury City Council is calling on residents to join the committee which maintains the patch.

The garden has already produced several crops, including corn, tomatoes, carrots and Asian vegetables thanks to the work of dedicated volunteers.

Located behind the Withers Library, the garden uses compost generated from the council’s green waste collection.

A registration form to join the committee is available from the council’s website until June 15.
