THE South West Catchments Council has praised a major part of the Koombana Drive upgrade project, which it says will help protect Bunbury’s waterways.

A bio-filtration garden will be installed along the inlet side of the road in a bid to protect the Leschenault Inlet’s water quality.

The garden will help improve the quality of stormwater run-off from the road.

SWCC chief executive officer Damien Postma said the garden would have multiple benefits.
