Time to get your girlfriends together and frock up in your best black and white outfit to support women living with cancer.

Dreambuilders Church is hosting a Girls Night In with all funds raised going to Cancer Council’s Dot’s Place, Bunbury.

Community pastor Kris Plumb said there were a lot of women from Dreambuilders Church who had felt the impact of cancer and this was just one way the church could help the community.

“Dot’s Place is in great demand for its services, they do some amazing work,” he said.

“It’s about looking at things in the community which bring people together as well.

“Our position as a church is to facilitate activities to help as many groups out as we can.”

South West Regional education officer Dianne Pope said the funds raised would make a valuable contribution to Cancer Council WA’s prevention and education programs.

She said the programs asked women to look at adopting a healthy lifestyle and encouraged the uptake of the screening programs that were available for early detection.

“This is one of the biggest fundraisers for our South West Support Centre, Dot’s Place, and helps out in a huge way in enabling preventive education programs and supporting women who have cancer,” she said.

Tickets are $40 and can be purchased at Dot’s Place, Bunbury.
