Two public forums to enable comment on parking in Bunbury’s CBD will be held at Chamber House on Stirling Street tomorrow at 12.30pm and 5.30pm.

Luxmoore Parking Consulting will present the findings of its review into parking in the port city, followed by an open discussion where the firm will address questions on the findings and overall parking changes.

The parking meters have polarised much of the community since they were installed, with some business owners claiming the CBD had become a ghost town as a result.

Others have refuted the claim, saying parking in the central business district was much better.

Bunbury City Council has reaped more than $721,600 in parking revenue over the past year from the 110 parking meters installed in the CBD,at a cost to the council of about $1.2 million.
