Help is ‘in the bag’

Brooke RolfeSouth Western Times

Something as simple as sorting through your bathroom cabinet could “provide a wealth of happiness” for victims of domestic violence this Christmas.

Support organisation for vulnerable women, Share the Dignity, is calling on the public to donate handbags filled with essential female items for its first ever ‘It’s in the Bag’ campaign.

Giving women an opportunity to enjoy the festive season and feel special is what inspired Novus Auto Glass co-owner Misti Fuller to get involved.

Mrs Fuller offered up her business to become a drop-off point and will join CCR Group in collecting the bags until December 3.

The businesses will be accepting donations of things like toothpaste, toothbrushes, sanitary items, deodorant, underwear, socks and “girly” things like perfume and hair ties, along with good condition second hand or new bags
